TRAVEL GAZETTE – NORTHERN Cyprus will launch a series of advertising campaigns in the United Kingdom to boost tourism, with marketing in Manchester and London set to begin next week.
A major campaign will be launched in Turkey soon after.
Meanwhile, tourism organisations, stakeholders, airline companies, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, the “Chamber of Industry” and “universities” all took part in the summit titled ‘Crisis Summit on Tourism’ in the north last week.
The meeting discussed the 2016-2017 tourism season and how the tourism sector could further be improved, reported Radio Bayrak.
‘Tourism minister’ Faiz Sucuoglu said will be determining a roadmap for the tourism industry.
“The chapters that will be defined during the summit will form the basis of the tourism workshop in January”, said Sucuoπlu.
Norther Cyprus is only recognised by Turkey as a ‘state’.
