TRAVEL GAZETTE – Swissport Cyprus, a subsidiary of Swissport International has reached an agreement for a network cooperation with COBALT, Cyprus’ new carrier, for ground handling services across COBALT’s network at 12 airports.
COBALT chose Swissport to provide the airline with comprehensive ground handling services including passenger and ramp handling, baggage services, operations coordination and load control, reports FG News.
The start of the operations is scheduled for June 2016 at 11 airports:
Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv (TLV) in Israel
Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH), Heraklion International Nikos Kazantzakis Airport (HER), Chania International Airport (CHQ) and Thessaloniki Macedonia International Airport (SKG) in Greece
Larnaca International Airport (LCA) in Cyprus
London Stansted Airport (STN), East Midlands Airport (EMA), Manchester Airport (MAN), Glasgow International Airport (GLA), Dublin Airport (DUB)

By July 2016, COBALT will be flying to 13 destinations from Larnaca; to Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania, London, Manchester, East Midlands, Glasgow, Dublin, Paris, Beirut, Tel Aviv, and Tehran.
