CYPRUS in shock after a horror road crash killed two teenage schoolgirls and a bus driver.

The two girls – both aged 16 – and the driver of a school bus taking them to school died after colliding with a truck on the Dikomo to Kyrenia road in the morning rush hour.

According to BRT, an initial police investigation has revealed that the truck had crossed out of its lane, crashing into the bus travelling in the opposite direction.
The road is on the Pentadaktylos Mountain in the north of Cyprus.

A 15-year-old pupil and the wife of the driver, 53, are both in critical condition.

The three killed have been named as the school bus driver Denktaş Mutluer and 16-year-olds Sude Demirkıran and İlayda Yeliz Öztürk.
The remaining 7 passengers on the bus were injured in the accident, BRT reported.
