Six dead in residential building fire in Moscow

A residential building near a railway station in Moscow caught fire on Monday, killing six people and injuring another, the RIA Novosti news agency reported.

The injured with about 30 percent of his skin burned has been hospitalized, according to an official from the Moscow Interregional Investigative Department for Transport.

The fire was put out at around 2:40 a.m. Moscow time (2340 GMT Sunday).

According to preliminary data, the accident was caused by the victims’ violation of fire safety rules.
