Iceland bus accident kills Chinese tourist, injures many others

At least one passenger died and over 10 other passengers were seriously injured on Wednesday after a tour bus carrying more than 40 Chinese travelers skidded off the road and rolled over in southeastern Iceland, the Chinese embassy in Iceland said in a statement.

The accident took place at around 11:00 a.m. local time in the town of Vik i Myrdal, some 250 km south of the capital Reykjavik, it said.

More than 10 people with serious injuries were transported to a major hospital for treatment in Reykjavik.
