Northern Territory to ‘turbo charge’ tourism

In AUSTRALIA, the Northern Territory government will spend $103 million to “turbocharge tourism” according to SBS.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the tourism stimulus package would deliver more marketing, new tourism infrastructure and improve existing festivals and events.

“Creating local jobs is my number one priority and this plan to turbocharge tourism is a serious show of support for local business,” he said.

SBS reports the package will include $26.5 million for tourism marketing, $56.2 million for new infrastructure in parks and reserves and $20.7 to boost existing festivals and other events.
