The Dolphin Reef in Eilat is a unique attraction – where you can encounter dolphins in their natural environment.

The reef is around a 20 minute car drive from the centre of Eilat and well worth the effort. Skilled instructors will take you to swim (or snorkel) with the dolphins; making sure the creatures are treated with respect and not stressed.

These dolphins are not captive; they come and go to the open sea as they wish.

The Reef’s floating piers and observation points allow visitors to watch the dolphins as they maintain their daily routine – play, hunt for food, mate and care for their younger ones.

Guides are fluent in Hebrew, English and Russian.

On the downside the experience is expensive and guides will not let you film or take photos – they are charged extra.

This is the most common complaint of visitors, along with the expensive snacks and food services.

Over all it is a unique experience and definitely recommended.
