TRAVEL GAZETTE – Easy Lodges is a small cabin park, hidden away right near the centre of Berlin and provides a breath of fresh air and a great find for the rather limited budget accommodation scene in the German capital.
Basically, it’s camping and the hotel experience merged into one, but your snug cabin has a double bed, chair, electricity, shelves and heater.
Clean bed linen is provided and the lodge is secure.
It was great to wake up, open the patio door, and be right on the grass.
The grounds are safe, clean – and probably quite lively during the summer months, as there is an outside bar and open fire.
Beyond the cabin, the facilities in main building include showers, bar, breakfast area (6euros per day) and a selection of games and books. The bar is cheap, a large beer will set you back just 2.50
Generally, everything was clean and well maintained.
The wifi is a bit patchy, so you’ll need to sit up at the main building where there is a high speed connection.
Easy Lodges is perfect for a budget break in Berlin – the prices are extremely reasonable and the staff all very friendly.
What is especially exciting about this unique location is that it sits on the corner of the old Tempelhof airport (of the Berlin airlift fame), which is now a vast park and perfect for a morning stroll.
There are plenty of good restaurants (especially Middle-Eastern and Turkish oriented cuisine), pubs and shops in the area – which is lively and buzzing.
The subway station at Boddinstraße, which is 5 minutes away, will have you in central Berlin in a jiffy.
It short, Easy Lodges were an absolutely fantastic experience. Loved every minute of it!
Besonderes Ambiente mitten in Berlin im Grünen. Kleine Wohneinheiten, Biergarten, Bar, BBQ, Bühne, Feuerstelle etc. laden zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen ein.
