QANTAS is testing new menus which could make flying a much more pleasant experience.

The new menus increase hydration and help reduce jetlag, according to the airline.

Offerings include healthy poke bowls and a herbal tea, which will be served on the new 787 Dreamliner Perth to London route.

The airline says the dishes will help encourage sleep at optimal times during the flight.

“Working with clinical sleep specialists, nutritionists and metabolic scientists, we’ve designed new menu options using delicious ingredients that have added benefits of hydration, aiding sleep and reducing jetlag,” said Neil Perry, the Creative Director of Food, Beverage & Service.

The new menus will debut on 24 March.
