Airport officer that dragged David Dao off United Airlines jet sues

TRAVEL GAZETTE – An airport police officer who dragged a passenger off a flight last is suing his former employer for failing to train him to properly use force.

James Long – along with several officers – was involved in removing 69-year-old David Dao from a United Airlines plane at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport on April 9, 2017.

Mr. Long said he was on his lunch break when he was summoned to the gate to help two other officers who were trying to remove a passenger from the jetliner.

Long and another officer were fired from their jobs after the incident.
