A STRIKE at budget airline Ryanair grounded planes in six European countries on Friday – wrecking the travel plans 40,000 passengers of their passengers.

Cabin crews in Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Italy, as well as pilots in Germany, began a 24-hour walkout as airspace opened on Friday.
