The Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne in Switzerland has opened, boasting four hotels overlooking Lake Lucerne.

As well as the four hotels, with 383 rooms and suites, the resort also has a Health & Medical Centre, eight restaurants and bars, 67 Residence Suites, a 10,000 m2 Alpine Spa, as well as a host of facilities and services.

“It gives me great pleasure to see how this pioneering spirit lives on and how the Bürgenstock Resort is now equipped to welcome guests from all over the world once more to the heart of Switzerland with this incomparable view,” said Swiss Federal Councillor Schneider-Ammann.

Home to a number of luxury hotels and a conference centre, the Bürgenstock has been a popular holiday and conferencing destination since 1872. Also located on the Bürgenstock is Europe’s tallest outdoor lift: the Hammetschwand Lift connects the beautiful scenic cliff path with the Hammetschwand vantage point, from where extensive views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains are to be had.
