The project, if realised, could also provide employment to over 1,000 people – and attract an extra 700,000 people to the resort.

TRAVEL GAZETTE – The British seaside resort of Blackpool is pinning future tourism hopes on a 17-acre multi-million dollar ‘adventure centre’ featuring rollercoaster’s, adventure trails and a panoramic 5-D theatre experience.

The local municipality has lifted the lid on ambitious plans for the £300 million project to be located on the famed stretch known as Golden Mile.

A planning application will be submitted early next year.

‘This new multimedia complex will make dreams become a reality, with a mix of multimedia, motion and story-telling like you’ve never experienced,’ the municipality announced on its website.

The venture is still in the early stages of development, but if it does go ahead, building work might commence by 2020.
